1 person killed, 2 seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash on Ben White Blvd
AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed and another two were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Ben White Boulevard early yesterday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
#ATCEMS, @AustinFireInfo & @Austin_Police are responding to a Vehicle Rescue at 500 W BEN WHITE BLVD EB (02:32). 911 caller reporting a 4 vehicle collision, with 1 person trapped in their vehicle, 1 vehicle possibly on fire. Avoid the area if possible. More information to follow.

The crash happened in the 500 block of eastbound W Ben White Blvd at 2:32 a.m., when four vehicles collided.
Three people were declared trauma alerts and extricated from their vehicles.
One of those victims, who was identified only as an adult patient, was pronounced dead at the scene by 3:06 a.m.
Another patient was taken to St. David’s South with critical, life-threatening wounds.
The final victim was taken to the same hospital for the treatment of serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash was not immediately available.
