15 people hospitalized in Bexar County charter bus crash

CONVERSE, TX (BEXAR COUNTY) – Fifteen people were taken to the hospital in an accident involving a charter bus on Saturday in Converse, east of San Antonio, according to KSAT.

The accident happened in the evening, sometime before 6:30 p.m., near the intersection of Schuwirth Road and Farm-to-Market Road 1604.

The charter bus, carrying 14 members of a church group, attempted to make a turn while ignoring a posted stop sign. Another vehicle then collided with the bus, T-boning it.

All 14 occupants of the bus were taken to the hospital, as was the single occupant of the car. The identity and condition of the victims are not currently known.

Police have deemed the cause of the crash as accidental.
