21-year-old driver cut out of wreckage in suspected DUI in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A young man suspected of driving while under the influence was trapped inside his car and seriously injured after an accident in San Antonio Saturday morning.

According to KENS 5, the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. at Guadalupe and Interstate 35.

The driver, 21, crashed his black car into a wall and trapped himself inside the vehicle. He had to be cut out of the wreckage by emergency crews.

He was taken to the hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.

The driver’s behavior and evidence inside the vehicle have led police to suspect that the victim was under the influence when the accident occurred.
