9-year-old girl dies following 2-vehicle DWI crash in west Houston
HOUSTON, TX – According to KHOU, a 9-year-old girl died and three others were hurt following a fatal DWI collision on US 59 NB near Hillcroft St on
Jefry Jose Canaca Alvarenga, 28, was driving a Nissan Rogue with a 9-year-old female passenger when he was rear-ended by a Kia Soul around 1:30 a.m.
First responders transported the 9-year-old girl to an area hospital, where she died. Crews also transported three people from the Kia to the hospital.
Authorities arrested the Kia driver and charged them with DWI with a child under 15.
