Convenience store destroyed in suspicious fire
SAN ANTONIO, TX – Investigators with the San Antonio Police Department are looking into the cause of a fire that caused significant damage to a south side convenience store early Thursday morning.
According to News 4 San Antonio, the fire began shortly before 1:00 a.m. at the convenience store within the 1300 block of Rosevelt Avenue near the intersection with Felisa Street.
The store was closed at the time of the fire. Firefighters cut the lock to gain entry to the store in order to extinguish the fire.
No injures have been reported as a result of the incident as of yet. However, the damages have been estimated at $700,000.
