Crash on Hwy 183 leads to road closures, traffic delays
AUSTIN, TX – An accident on Highway 183 led to road closures and traffic delays early this morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The accident occurred on southbound Hwy 183, near N Lamar Boulevard, before 6:45 a.m.
The southbound lanes of the highway were closed as officials worked the crash. Traffic was rerouted to the Hwy 183 frontage road.
No word at this time as to possible injuries.
The cause of the crash was not immediately revealed, though it is possible that it was caused at least in part by a winter weather event this weekend that has created treacherous driving conditions throughout the area.
