Crash on SH-71 blocks ramp to I-35 for over 90 minutes
AUSTIN, TX – A collision on State Highway 71 blocked the I-35 ramp for over an hour and a half this evening, according to the Texas Department of Transportation in Austin.
Traffic Advisory: The westbound SH 71 ramp to northbound I-35 is closed due to a crash. Exit at Todd Ln/Woodward St and follow the frontage road. #atxtraffic

The accident happened on westbound SH-71, near the ramp for northbound I-35, at about 8:20 p.m.
The collision blocked the exit ramp, forcing drivers to detour at Todd Lane/Woodward Street and use the frontage road.
The ramp was open again just before 10 p.m.
It is unclear what led to the crash or if anyone was injured as a result.
