Crash shuts down busy road in downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police closed down a portion of Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard downtown following a collision Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened within the 3800 block of East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at bout 3:00 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page. Officials closed off the intersection with Miriam Avenue while so the crash could be investigated and cleared from the roadway.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. This portion of East Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. has since been reopened following the crash.
