Deadly Hit-And-Run Suspect Found Near Beer Garden

A man who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run was later found at a beer garden, according to a February 18 article by Fox 7 Austin.

The incident occurred in the 10000 block of Menchaca Road around 10:30 PM on Saturday, February 15. 24-year-old Paul Joseph Garcia Jr. was driving when he crashed into a pedestrian pushing a shopping cart. The impact spread some of the victim’s extremities on the road. Also, it caused the body to penetrate through the windshield and get caught.

Garcia then pulled over after traveling about half a mile further. Then, he exited his vehicle and walked to the South Austin Beer Garden. Police found him later in front of the establishment. He was arrested for intoxication manslaughter.
