Driver crashes into Alief pool, dies
HOUSTON, TX – According to Click 2 Houston, a male driver died after he slammed into a swimming pool on the 11100 block of Triola Ln on Wednesday.
The driver was speeding on Boone Rd when he strayed off the roadway, hit a fence, struck a tree, and plunged into a swimming pool on Triola Ln.
An officer attempted to save the driver but failed.
A dive team recovered the man’s body.
Officials have not released the man’s name.
The HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the incident.
