Driver Died After Car Crashed Into Barrier
The driver who died after crashing his car into a barrier has been identified, according to a January 14 article by Patch.
He was identified as 42-year-old Leon Jay Harvey. He was driving his 2015 Toyota Prius when it hit a barrier. The impact caused the Prius to be bounced back on the road, only to be struck by a black, 2013 Ford F150. Harvey was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the Ford driver was not injured and cooperated with the authorities. They believe speeding was a factor in the collision, and not charges are expected to be filed against the Ford driver. This is the fourth fatal traffic crash of Austin in 2020.
