Driver hits pedestrian after brake failure in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrain was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle along the Poteet Jourdanton Freeway Thursday night.
According to KENS, the driver of the car attempted to stop at the intersection of Poteet Jourdanton Freeway and Villaret Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m.
The driver’s brakes malfunctioned causing him to coast through the red light and into a pedestrian crossing the road. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver in this case.
