Driver in critical condition after colliding with pole in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – One man was taken to the hospital after emergency crews pulled him from a vehicle that crashed into a pole south of San Antonio Monday night.
According to KSAT, the crash occurred after the driver was attempting to exit Southwest Loop 410 onto Poteet Jourdanton Freeway at about 11:40 p.m. when he took the turn at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle.
The car careened off of the road and across the Highway 16 intersection before coming to a stop when it crashed into a light pole. The man was pulled from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
No information is available concerning the condition of the other two occupants of the vehicle. However, police found a 9 mm pistol and marijuana upon investigating the crash.
