DWI collision causes serious injuries to Austin police officer
AUSTIN, TX- A drunk driving crash occurred early Monday that injured an Austin police officer and two others, according to KXAN.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:15am. The officer, in a patrol car, was in the area of Trinity Street and East 15th Street when his vehicle struck another car with a driver and one passenger in the vehicle. The officer was seriously injured and subsequently transported to an area hospital. The two others involved in the accident were also injured and taken to the hospital for injuries. The driver of the vehicle faces DWI charges.
