AUSTIN, TX – According to a tweet from the Austin Fire Department, firefighters have responded to a car fire on US-290 between William Cannon Drive and MoPac.

The incident took place at around 6:20 p.m. this evening in the westbound lanes of the highway. It is currently unclear if anyone was hurt or what caused the accident.
