Girl Suffered Burns From Coffee Machine

A little girl suffered burns after a coffee machine scalded her, according to a February 3 article by KVUE .

The incident occurred November last year. 3-year-old Cadence Galloway tried to brew her own coffee when hot coffee burst out of the machine. Unfortunately, the child suffered first to second-degree burns to her face and neck as a result. In fact, her mother Rachel Stigler said that Cadence still has scarring. In response, Stigler called Keurig regarding the situation and got a new coffee machine from the company.

Their machine, the K10 MINI Plus Brewer, was recalled in 2014 but reports of the dangerous product took 4 years to reach the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Unfortunately, the commission found out that a hundred consumers were injured before due to this product. The CPSC said admitted that only 7% of recalled products are turned back in.
