Graduating senior involved in fatal car accident

WACO, TX – A Chilton ISD graduating senior was involved in a fatal car accident on Wednesday, according to KCENTV.

Emilio Rueda, 18, was a passenger in a 2003 GMC Sierra traveling southbound on Robinson Drive when it ran off the road and struck a light pole at the Primrose Road intersection, just after 7:30 p.m.

Rueda was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was transported to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
