Hazardous conditions and delays due to I-35 18-wheeler fire
AUSTIN, TX- The Austin Fire Department responded to a large 18-wheeler fire in the northbound lanes of I-35 in Austin on Tuesday, reports KVUE.
At approximately 5:54pm, an 18-wheeler was reported to have caught fire, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The back right wheels were engulfed in flames. The incident occurred near the 8700 block in the northbound lanes of I-35.
The incident was said to cause major delays and hazards on the road after its occurrence. There is currently no more information on the cause of the accident or more relevant details or any of the related potential injuries. We will be monitoring for updates.
