Hiker injured in Barton Creek Greenbelt

AUSTIN, TX – Officials with Austin-Travis County emergency services transported one person to the hospital after extracting them from the greenbelt Tuesday night.

According to the official Twitter page of Austin-Travis County EMS, officials were called to initial reports of an unconscious person on the Barton Creek Greenbelt shortly after 7:30 p.m.

 

Upon their arrival, officials made contact with an adult patent who was conscious and prepped them for transport to a local hosptial.

The patient was extracted and taken to a local hosptial to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Details regarding what caused the accident have yet to be released.
