Hit-and-run driver fatally collides with teen in Fresno
FRESNO, TX – According to ABC 13, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed an 18-year-old near Evergreen Street and South Post Oak Boulevard on Saturday night.
Darius Dickerson, 34, was driving an SUV when he allegedly hit Deztiny Rodriguez as she was walking on Evergreen Street with her boyfriend around 10:40 p.m.
The collision threw Rodriguez into a ditch.
Following the collision, Dickerson reportedly exited his vehicle to look at the damage and then drove off.
Dickerson turned himself in around 4:30 p.m.
Authorities charged Dickerson with “collision involving death.” Dickerson bonded out of jail and is due in court on April 5th.
