Houston cop injured in accident
HOUSTON, TX – A Houston police officer was injured in a rear-end crash on Wednesday afternoon, sources report.
The officer was rear-ended by a vehicle near downtown while he was traveling northbound on the Texas Highway 288 at approximately 1 p.m.
Firefighters and EMS arrived at the scene assisting the officer out of the SUV cruiser and transported him to the hospital wearing a neck brace.
It is unclear what caused the accident.
