I-35 reopened following fatal truck crash
AUSTIN, TX – According to KXAN, I-35 has reopened following a fatal truck crash on I-35, south of 51st Street.
The accident took place in the southbound lanes at around 1 a.m. this morning when the truck’s driver hit the guard rail on the upper deck. The cab fell on to the lower decks. The truck’s trailer remained on the upper decks.
The highway was closed for several hours as authorities investigated. It is currently unclear what caused this accident. This story will be updated if new details are reported.
