Injury Hit-And-Run Caught On Camera
A hit-and-run that injured a motorcyclist was recorded in a witness’ dash camera, according to a January 14 article by CBS Austin .
The incident happened on the evening of December 21, off Highway 183 near Oceanaire Boulevard. In the footage, a truck appeared to have moved into the right lane of Highway 183 and crashed into a motorcycle driving in that lane. The injured motorcyclist’s mother, Lisa Klatt, lamented buying her her 19-year-old son the motorcycle. She further reiterated that she warned him not to ride it on highways. Despite the tragedy, she said she was thankful that the incident didn’t turn out worse. Nonetheless, she and the Austin Police are looking for the truck driver responsible. Investigations are ongoing.
