Man Arrested After Crashing Into Four Cars, One Officer
A man was arrested after crashing into four vehicles and injuring a police officer, according to a February 15 article by Statesman.
The collision happened on Thursday, at the 1200 block of Colorado Street and at the intersection of Guadalupe and West 12th Street. 46-year-old Eugenio Flores Olivares crashed through three vehicles in Colorado Street before striking a cruiser with an officer in it at the intersection.
After the incident, Olivares said he only did it to get the attention of the police officer so he can ask for help. Nevertheless, he was charged with aggravated assault on a public servant, a first degree felony, and criminal mischief. He was placed in the Travis County Correctional Complex with bail set at $10,000 for criminal mischief and $50,000 for assault.
