Man Dead After Head-On Collision With 18-Wheeler Truck
A man died after colliding with an 18-wheeler truck head-on, according to a February 11 article by East Texas Matters.
The collision happened on US 69, north of Lufkin, at 8:10 PM. 27-year-old Austin Christmas was driving southbound when his 2013 Chrysler crossed the center lines for unknown reasons. Then, his car crashed head-on with an 18-wheeler truck driven by 46-year-old Jairo Rodas. Unfortunately, Christmas was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Rodas was not injured. Further investigations are ongoing.
