Man drowns after getting caught in hydraulic on Colorado River
AUSTIN, TX – A man drowned after falling from a raft and into the Colorado River this afternoon, according to KXAN.
The incident occurred near the 9100 block of Ramirez Lane in East Austin at about 2:40 p.m., when an adult male fell from a raft after going over a low-head dam. He was caught in a hydraulic and drowned.
Despite attempts to resuscitate him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim is unavailable at this time.
