Man hit by car while trying to get help for another accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was struck by a vehicle after getting out of his car to try to flag down aid following a separate accident, according to KTSA.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Friday on Loop 410 South, near Somerset Road.

The unidentified man hit a guardrail with his vehicle, which came to rest in the median strip. The victim got out of his vehicle and made his way onto the highway shoulder to look for help, but was then struck by a second vehicle. The second vehicle spun out.

The victim has been taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
