Multi-vehicle collision shuts down Airport Blvd.

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department reported injuries following a multi-vehicle collision east of downtown Thursday morning.

The crash occurred within the southbound lanes in of Airport Boulevard near the intersection with Oak Springs Drive shortly before 8:20 a.m., according to CBS Austin.

Officials have reported injuries as a result of the collision. However, the number of people hurt, and the severity of those injuries remains unknown.

The southbound lanes of this portion of Airport Blvd. at Oak Springs Dr. was shut down for a few hours causing significant delays for rush-hour commuters in East Austin.
