Multiple injuries reported in North Austin wrong-way crash

AUSTIN, TX – Three individuals were hospitalized following a head-on collision north of downtown Austin Friday morning.

The collision occurred within the 600 block of East St. Johns Avenue at about 12:50 a.m., according to a report by CBS Austin.

Officials say the crash was caused by one driver traveling north in the southbound lanes and collided with two oncoming cars.

Three victims were rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.

It is not clear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
