One critically injured after being trapped in vehicle in S Austin collision

AUSTIN, TX – One person was critically injured in a two-vehicle accident this morning on Menchaca Road, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened in the 9300 block of Menchaca at 9:26 a.m. when two vehicles collided and pinned one person within the wreckage.

The victim, who has not been publicly identified by ATCEMS, was extracted by emergency teams and declared a trauma alert. The victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances of the crash were not immediately made available.
