One dead, another critically hurt in pin-in crash on FM 812

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed, and another sustained life-threatening injuries during a pin-in collision on FM 812 early this morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred between the 8600 and 8800 blocks of FM 812, near Creedmoor Road and Dee Gabriel Collins, at 2:31 a.m., when two vehicles collided.

Two people were pinned within the wreckage of the crash. One of those victims died at the scene.

The second victim was declared a trauma alert, and was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The identities of the victims and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.

ATCEMS advised travelers to avoid the area, and to expect extended closures and delays near the scene.
