One Dead, Four Injured In Pickup And 18-Wheeler Crash

One man died and four others sustained injuries after their pickup truck crashed into an 18-wheeler, according to a January 17 article by San Angelo LIVE.

The incident occurred at the intersection of FM 1379 and County Road 160, Thursday afternoon. Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the scene and found an 18-wheeler and a Dodge Ram 2500 that had crashed in the roadway. They determined that the 18-wheeler ran a stop sign, causing the crash. 55-year-old 18-wheeler driver Joseph A. Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Jeremiah Osgood, 47-year-old Jose Ramirez, 28-year-old Joshua Fitts, and 28-year-old Nathanial Davidson were in the Dodge and were injured. They were rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital to get treatment. Then, two of them were airlifted to Lubbock.
