One Dead In Cedar Park Motorcycle Crash
A pedestrian died after being hit by a police vehicle, according to a January 6 article by Fox 7 Austin.
Around 6:30 PM, Cedar Park Police responded to a call regarding a crash with injuries at the 6400 block of the 183A toll road. When they arrived at the scene, they found a pickup truck and a motorcycle on the road. Their investigations concluded that the truck crashed into the median first and sent debris flying. A motorcyclist, 45-year-old Dane Benjamin Hone, was struck by the debris. He was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but was pronounced dead on Sunday morning. This incident is Cedar Park’s first traffic fatality of the year and is under investigation.
