One injured after MetroRail train hits car on West Parmer Lane
AUSTIN, TX – According to the Austin American-Statesman, one person was injured after a MetroRail train hit a car on West Parmer Lane.
The incident took place shortly before 10:47 a.m. today at a crossing near Mopac. The car was at a rail crossing when the train hit it.
The victim was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with injuries that may be life-threatening.
No one on the train seems to have been injured, and authorities say they were transported to their destinations following the collision.
Capital Metro has said that they will conduct a safety review following the incident.
