One killed and two hurt in northwest San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio Police have a 26-year-old man in custody in connection with an intentional crash on the northwest side Thursday evening.

According to KTSA, the collision occurred within the 6800 blocks of Babcock Road shortly after 6:30 p.m. The man traveling westbound swerved into the oncoming eastbound lane striking a car with three female passengers.

The women’s car caught fire immediately following the crash. Luckily, they were each pulled from the vehicle by good samaritans passing by.

One of the victims was pronounced dead upon emergency services’ arrival on the scene. Two were transported to University hosptial, their conditions remain unknown at this time.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was tracked down and arrested by San Antonio Police shortly after.
