One person killed in pedestrian crash on Burnet Rd in N Austin
AUSTIN, TX – One person was hit and killed by a vehicle in north Austin early this morning, according to a tweet published by the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened in the 9200 block of Burnet Rd, located near Hwy 183 in the North Burnet area, just before 2 a.m. when an adult victim was hit by a vehicle.
Despite resuscitative efforts made by emergency crews, the victim died at the scene.
Authorities did not publicly identify the victim or state the circumstances surrounding the crash.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
Police warned travelers in the area to avoid the area, as road closures and heavy traffic delays were likely during the investigation of the crash.
