One person severely injured after vehicle collides with bldg. in N Lamar

AUSTIN, TX – One person was severely injured after a vehicle collided with a building in the North Lamar area earlier tonight, according to a tweet posted by the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened in the 1700 block of Rutland Drive at 8:34 p.m.

One person was declared a trauma alert and was unconscious when medics arrived at the scene.

The victim, who has yet to be publicly identified by officials, was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center for the treatment of severe, possibly life-threatening wounds.

Authorities advised travelers to avoid the area, as delays were likely, and to watch for first responders possibly still conducting their investigation.
