Pedestrian Dead After Hit-And-Run Pickup Collision
A pedestrian was found dead after a hit-and-run collision, according to a March 2 article by CBS Austin.
The incident occurred on February 29, in the 200 block of South Guadalupe Street. Police received a call at 1:27 AM regarding a man lying unconscious on the edge of a roadway. Officers found 69-year-old Eligio Vasquez and tried to resuscitate him using CPR. Then, he was taken to Seton-Hays where he was later pronounced deceased. Police are now looking for a red pickup truck that was spotted in nearby surveillance cameras. Investigations are also ongoing.
