Pedestrian Struck, Died Eight Days Later
A pedestrian died after a car accident, according to a January 30 article by Patch.
The incident occurred in January 18 before 11:00 PM, at the 4700 block of Burleson Road. A 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling along the road when a pair of pedestrians walked into its path. One of those pedestrians, 55-year-old Juan Palacios, was sent to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, but died eight days later. Police noted that the scene of the accident was dimly lit and no crosswalks were nearby. No charges are expected to be filed. This is the 8th fatal traffic crash in 2020.
