Person sent to hospital after jumping from Congress Bridge
AUSTIN, TX – A person was injured and taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after reportedly jumping from the Congress Avenue Bridge and into the lake below, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.
The accident happened on Cesar Chavez and Congress at 4:41 p.m.
The patient was brought to shore with the help of kayakers on the scene and then taken to Dell Seton for the treatment of injuries that were deemed potentially serious, but not likely to be life-threatening.
