Person severely hurt after falling off skateboard near Walnut Creek Park

AUSTIN, TX – One person was critically injured after falling from a skateboard near the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park in North Austin on Friday evening.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the accident occurred at 12014 Lincolnshire Drive at 5:04 p.m., when an adult victim fell from a skateboard and onto the paved trail.

The victim sustained traumatic injuries in the fall.

EMS personnel initially planned to move the victim using a stretcher, and then take them to the ambulance, which would be driven as far down the trail as possible.

The victim was instead taken from the trail via the use of a big wheel and was then declared a trauma alert.

They were taken to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening wounds. Their identity was not immediately released.
