Rush-hour crash closes busy downtown Austin street
AUSTIN, TX – Authorities with the Austin Police Department have closed off a portion of Red River Street following a rush-hour collision early Tuesday evening.
According to the Austin – Travis County traffic report page, the collision occurred within the 1500 block of Red River St. near the Frank C. Irwin Jr. Special Events Center at about 4:20 p.m.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision. However, police are advising motorists to avoid this portion of Red River St. as delays are likely throughout Tuesday evening.
