Rush-hour crash closes I-35 service road
AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in South Austin were forced to shut down a portion of an Interstate 35 service road during rush hour Friday evening.
According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the incident occurred along the I-35 frontage road near the intersection with Elmhurst Drive and Taylor Gains Street just before 6:00 p.m.
Officials have not yet released any information regarding how many people were involved in the crash or if any injuries were sustained as a result. However, the situation is still developing. Authorities recommend motorists find an alternate route around this portion of the I-35 frontage road northbound throughout Friday evening.
