San Antonio pedestrian critically injured in West Side crash
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle west of downtown San Antonio early Wednesday morning.
According to KSAT, police responded to the crash at the intersection of Zarzamora Street and West Martin Street at about 12:30 a.m.
Witness accounts say the man was standing in the middle of the intersection facing away from traffic when he was struck by a Lexus ES300. The driver told officers he did not see the man while driving through the green light.
The victim was rushed to University Hosptial to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are expected to be filed at this time.
