Semi-truck crashes, injures one person and spills load of mason jars over I-35

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – One person was injured yesterday in New Braunfels in a fiery rollover accident involving a semi-truck carrying a load of mason jars, according to KXAN.

The accident happened yesterday morning on I-35 near Highway 46 S when a semi-truck crashed and rolled over an unspecified number of times.

The cab of the truck caught on fire, a utility pole was knocked over, and the trailer part of the vehicle was thrown across the center median. The trailer split in two and spilled its cargo of mason jars over both sides of the highway.

One person was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries. Their identity has not been made public at this time.

Authorities diverted traffic in the area for the cleanup and investigation of the collision, with delays expected for multiple hours.
