Suspect arrested in deadly Austin home invasion

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police have a male suspect in custody following a Sunday morning home invasion that left one victim dead and another seriously injured.

According to CBS Austin, the altercation occurred within the 2900 block of Pecan Springs Road in Northeast Austin at about 8:00 a.m. Upon their arrival, Austin Police began performing life-saving efforts on one victim who had appeared to sustain a stabbing injury. The victim later died in transport to a local hospital.

The other patient was transported safely to the hospital and underwent surgery for their injuries.

Officials have arrested Raul Luevano, 38, in relation to the incident. Another suspect has been identified and is pending booking as of Monday evening.
