Suspect tries to evade San Antonio police by driving away with handcuffs on

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio arrested an individual that attempted to drive away after being detained for hitting a parked police cruiser.

According to KTSA, the man ran into the police car on Northwest 21st street and proceeded to hit another vehicle after that. The suspect was thrown into the back seat of his car where police handcuffed and left him to check on the other victim.

While checking on the welfare of the other victim in the crash, the suspect jumped back into the driver’s seat of his car and sped off again. This time he collided with railroad tracks not far from the original incident. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other motorist sustained minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.
