Three people injured in multi-vehicle crash on Highway 183
AUSTIN, TX – Three people were hurt, one of them seriously so, in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 183 Wednesday afternoon, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision occurred in the 4800 block of S Highway 183 at 3:12 p.m., when three vehicles collided.
One person was taken to the hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries. A Star Flight medical helicopter was originally called for the victim, but the call was canceled for undisclosed reasons.
Two other victims were brought to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical wounds.
Authorities advised travelers to avoid the area, as traffic delays were to be expected following the crash.
The identities of the victims and the cause of the crash were not made immediately available.
