Three people injured in pin-in car crash in S Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Three people were taken to the hospital after a pin-in car accident in south Austin last night, according to a tweet by the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened in the Double Creek Village neighborhood, near the intersection of Onion Creek Parkway and the S I-35 service road at about 7:45 p.m.

One person was trapped in the wreckage for a few minutes before being extricated by emergency crews and taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.

Another two occupants of the vehicle were taken to the same hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities did not give details about the circumstances of the crash or the identities of the victims.
