Two Injured, One Dead, Following Collision
Two people were injured and another was killed in a crash, resulting in disciplinary action for a police officer, according to a March 27 article by The Statesman.
The incident happened on September 27, in North Lamar Boulevard. Officer Richard Bozelli chased 23-year-old Jessie Jay Woosley as he was speeding. Bozelli tried to end the pursuit. Unfortunately, Woosley died and two others were injured after his vehicle struck another. According to Officer Bozelli’s memo, he did “not correctly” end the pursuit, leading to the incident.
